X video download not working? Troubleshooting guide

Check the post URL

Use an HTTPS address such as https://x.com/username/status/1234567890 or https://twitter.com/username/status/1234567890. Copy the individual video post link, not a profile or search result URL.

You do not need an X password, account cookies or a verification code. Paste only the post URL.

Private, deleted or restricted posts

Check whether you can open the original post on X. Even public posts may fail because of regional, age or platform access restrictions. XRANKING does not grant access to private accounts.

No downloadable video found

Check that the post contains a video. Photo-only posts and links to videos on other websites may not return an MP4. For a quote post, try the original post that directly contains the video.

Network errors or request limits

Wait briefly, then retry once instead of repeatedly pressing Download. The service and source platform may limit excessive requests.

If other public videos also fail, there may be a temporary service or X connection issue. Try again later.

Results appear but the file will not save

Media links can expire. Paste the original post URL again to retrieve a fresh link instead of using an old result.

Check free storage space and browser download permissions. Safari or Chrome may make saved files easier to locate than an in-app browser.
